Saint Emilion Classified Growth Afternoon Wine Tour
Discover the prestigious wines of the right bank & Saint-Emilion during your St Emilion winery tour from Bordeaux! Enjoy the amazing hilly vineyard landscapes of the region where Merlot is the king of the grape varieties!
2:00 pm: Meet your tour guide and depart Bordeaux for Saint-Emilion. Your expert, local guide will share all you need to know about the Bordeaux & Saint-Emilion wine regions as you go.
3:00 pm: Enjoy a visit and tour of a Great Classified Growth chateau overlooking the Saint-Emilion vineyards (Chateau La Croizille, Chateau Côte de Baleau…) The tour will include explanations of how the wine is made following the process from the vine to the bottle. To finish, enjoy an aperitif in a tasting room with French delicacies (includes fresh bread, cheese…).
Join a wine tasting workshop and learn to taste wine like a pro!
"Intense color, woody aromas, tannic taste… " Ouch!! What does it mean? Do not fear! You will learn each of the steps of a proper tasting and educate your nose to identify the wine's aromas. We will give you our tips and tricks to taste like a pro! At the end of the chateau visit, you will enjoy a tasting of the chateau’s wines.
4.20 pm: Enjoy a guided tour of the village of Saint Emilion, classified on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Saint-Emilion is a typical charming French village dating back to medieval times surrounded by vineyards.
6:30 pm: Your Saint Emilion winery tour will end with your arrival back in Bordeaux.
