Join a Bordeaux wine tasting class in English!
Perfect for understanding the complexity of Bordeaux wines. Your guide will teach you how to taste, recognize grape varieties, and learn about the history of Bordeaux wines.
10:30 am: Meet at 3 rue d’Enghien, 33000 Bordeaux, at the À la Française apartment.
Start with a welcome glass of white wine and learn the basics of wine tasting, so you’ll never feel intimidated in a French restaurant again.
Next, discover the history of Bordeaux wines and their main grape varieties, such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Taste 2 single-varietal wines before joining a blending workshop.
Taste 2 blended wines prepared in front of you to understand their differences.
Then, enjoy a blind tasting of a famous Bordeaux wine and guess where it’s from.
All of this with a typical French aperitif (fresh bread, sausage, cheese, dark chocolate...) to pair with your wines and discover your tasting profile with the help of your guide.

Are you looking for a class to help understand the compexities of Bordeaux wines and French wines in general? You found it! During two hours, your wine guide will teach you how to taste wines, compare French wines and blend your own wine!
10.30 am: Meet in the centre of Bordeaux at the A la Francaise’s Apartment (3 rue d'enghien 33000 Bordeaux).
Your wine lesson will start with a welcome glass of white wine. You will learn how to taste wine properly and never feel intimidated in a French restaurant again!
Next up is a tour through France's wines. You'll taste 4 wines from the 4 main wine regions of France and, discover the diversity of French wines and the notions of "terroir" and "appellation".
Then, its time to take a wine blending workshop. Bordeaux wines are blends made from various types of grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot…). You will get to taste grape varieties individually and then, according to your own preferences, create your very own cuvée! You'll be a wine specialist thanks to our expert wine educator.
No Bordeaux wine tasting is complete without a pairing of French delicacies. You'll enjoy a typical french aperitif to pair with your wine tasting (includes fresh bread, sausage, cheese, dark chocolate…) and discover your wine tasting profile guided by your wine educator.
