The program detailed below is our suggestion taken from our team’s favorites, but we are able to customize anything according to your interests and ideas.
We start our visit at Château de Villandry, a Renaissance jewel ranking high in French heritage. During the tour, you will time-travel from Renaissance to life in France back in the 18th century. Our tour-leader will guide you through all the rooms of the chateau, with plenty of thrilling anecdotes. Take a nice and friendly walk with our local guide in Villandry stunning formal gardens, a beautiful and delicately-manicured landscape masterpiece. Our expert will share all his knowledge of this garden à la française, and will show you hidden corners from where you will get the best views of this remarquable site: the ornamental kitchen garden, the Maze, the classical water garden...
Enjoy an gourmet wine tasting at a local family owned winery, taste some amazing local wines, learn about the production of such a wine and accompany all that with delicious food from the aera. Real friendly and restful atmosphere! (Lunch not included, on request and depending on availabilities)
The second half of the day will take you to the famous Château d'Ussé.
This castle seems to come straigth out of a fairy tale and even inspired Charles Perrault for the Sleeping Beauty. Step in the shoes of famous Vauban, Charles Perrault, Le Nôtre or even Châteaubriand... Admire the stunning formal gardens designed by famous landscaper Le Nôtre (who also designed the gardens of Château de Versailles).
We will then enjoy together a nice aperitif sharing a local Loire Valley Wine paired with a local delicacy before heading back to your hotel!
