The program in detail

Join this afternoon small group tour, and see the best of the Luberon with a local enthusiastic guide.

Departing from Avignon at 1.30pm your A la Française guide will invite you to delve into the Provencal atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Luberon area and its villages, some of the most beautiful in France!

Your first visit of the afternoon is to Roussillon and its famous ochre cliffs. Don't forget your camera to capture this wonder with all its different shades of brown, orange and red.

Next up on your discovery of the Luberon is a visit to the famous Roman bridge, the Pont Julien. You will then drive through the village of Lacoste, where you can find the Marquis de Sade's castle.

The last visit of the day is to the village of Gordes. Perched high up in the Luberon and known as one of "the most beautiful villages in France" you will enjoy some free time to discover the village and its famous buildings which are all made from dry stones.
