Private shore excursion: Aix-en-Provence
Join your private guide for the morning at the exit of your cruise ship in Marseille at 9am. Climb aboard your upmarket 8-seater minivan and be driven in comfort through the heart of Provence countryside to Aix-en-Provence.
Your guide knows all there is to know about the city and will take you on an insightful and delightful walking tour of the best sights of Aix-en-Provence.
Follow your private Provence expert for a walk along the Cours Mirabeau lined with 17th and 18th century private mansions, where large plane trees give shade on hot summer days. The old town is packed with shops, architectural and religious sites, bustling squares and refreshing fountains. Take a stroll through one of the numerous markets taking place everyday in the center of the city.
Aix-en-Provence is also the birthplace of the painter Paul Cézanne. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Cézanne's studio that was built from his own plans and where time seems to stand still (entrance ticket not included).
Your guide will be ready to answer all your questions on the city and Provence during the course of your private morning tour.
At the end of your excursion your guide will drive you back to Marseille cruise terminal for 1pm.
