Private shore excursion: Aix-en-Provence & Cassis
Meet your very own Provence expert guide at the exit of your cruise ship in Marseille at 8am. Then, set off on your drive through Provence in your upmarket 8-seater minivan.
Arriving in Aix-en-Provence, your guide will take you on a wonderful walking tour to explore the history, art and culture of the city.
Your tour starts on the Cours Mirabeau lined with 17th and 18th century private mansions. Stroll through the old town which is filled with shops, architectural and religious sites, bustling squares and fountains. There are lots of markets taking place everyday in the center of Aix-en-Provence.
The famous artist Paul Cezanne was born in Aix-en-Provence and you will have the opportunity to visit his studio (entrance ticket not included).
After your walking tour of Aix-en-Provence your guide will drive you on to Cassis passing by the Cape Canaille. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Bay of Cassis and the Gardiole mountain range!
Arrive in Cassis, and enjoy visiting the prettiest parts of the village, the ancient fishing port and the harbour with your guide. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a 45-minute boat cruise (ticket not included) to see the Calanques and their steep-walled coves, harbours and beaches.
At the end of your shore excursion your guide will drive you back to Marseille where you will arrive at 4pm.
