9am – Meet your private tour guide when he picks you up from your hotel. You'll set off on your drive from Bordeaux to Saint Emilion which takes around 40 minutes. On the way, your expert local guide will tell you all you need to know about our region, our wines, and our culture. And he will gladly answer all your questions.
9:45 a.m. – Visit the village of Saint-Emilion. Enjoy a private guided tour through the narrow streets of the village of Saint-Emilion, which dates back to the 9th century! And which remains perfectly preserved thanks to its UNESCO heritage classification. The village is located at the top of the hill, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards.
10:45 a.m. – You will be warmly welcomed at a Grand Cru Classé chateau for a tour and tasting. This classification means their wines are among the 10% most prestigious of Saint-Emilion. You will enjoy a tour of the vineyards and a cellar visit whilst your guide explains the process of winemaking from the vine to the bottle. And finally, the most important part of the tour: the tasting! In the tasting room located in the chateau itself, you will taste 2 of their wines accompanied by an aperitif platter (sausage, cheese and dark chocolate).
12 p.m. – It’s time to go back to Bordeaux!
Around 1 p.m. – Arrival in Bordeaux and drop-off at your hotel.
