Our story
Our sparkling team has thought about launching a Champagne wine adventure in 2014. At that time, Matthias, Champagne native and lover, had been working and travelling for a Champagne company since quite a while. He was pretty impressed by the contrast between the celebrity of the name Champagne all over the world (even the universe) and the ignorance about his wonderful region.
The wine tourism in Champagne was only at the premises and only a few people knew about the possibilities of visits. Feeling quite curious, he got interested in travelling in other wine regions to discover their vision for wine tourism. And Bordeaux came first of course! Google top of the list was Bordovino wine tour company, world Champion in wine tourism since 2010. Matthias met Bordovino’s team at the end of 2014 and fell in love with them, as well as the concept! He imported some of their ideas back to Champagne to create a first company called Vine Escape. Later on, Matthias and Bordovino’s founder Pierre-Jean met up again and decided to merge the two companies for one and only brand summing up the main topic of their tours: « A la Française » ! With a shared limpid fundamental goal: make people happy!
A la Française Champagne has since developed thanks to Cathy, Martin, Angelique and Ana, sunny and welcoming guides born passionate about this famous sparkling drink; Thanks to Claire, Anne, Béné, our A La Française experts...
