Visiting Bordeaux means experiencing each and every ingredient of the French "art de vivre": history, traditions, architecture, wine and food. This gourmet wine tour will help you to discover how history and the wine industry shaped the city of Bordeaux!
9.30am: Meet and greet your guide at the column of girondins monuments and start your gourmet city tour, visiting the most distinctive producers of local delicacies.
12.30pm: You will enjoy a French picnic in our lovely 18th century A la Francaise appartment in the heart of Bordeaux.
2.00 pm: After lunch it's time to depart Bordeaux for your wine tour of the Medoc. You'll be driven along the famous "Chateau Route" of the Medoc. Your expert local guide will provide you with all the information you need to know about the Bordeaux & Medoc wine regions as you go.
3.00pm: Arriving in the Medoc you will visit a 1855 Great Classified Growth estate (Chateau Dauzac, Château Marquis de Terme...). You'll visit the vineyards, the vat room and the cellars of one of the most prestigious chateaux of Bordeaux. Enjoy learning about their wine making process, from the vine to the bottle. You'll finish the chateau tour with a tasting of the estate's wines while enjoying an aperitif of local French delicacies (cheese, fresh bread...).
4:15pm: No wine tour of the Medoc is complete without a sightseeing stop at Château Margaux. You'll stop for photos in front of the chateau while your knowledgeable guide will tell you all about the most famous winery in Bordeaux. Your guide will serve you a glass of dry white wine while giving more details about Bordeaux wine region
5.00pm: Your guide will take you to the chateau route to show the most beautiful Chateaux of the Medoc
6.30pm: You'll be driven back from the Medoc and arrive in Bordeaux.
